March 23, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce OC Academy 23 as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.
Based in Orlando, FL, OC Academy 23 will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida Central Division. The club will host its home games at Osceola Heritage Park (1875 Silver Spur Ln, Kissimmee, FL 34744).
OC Academy 23 is operated by Orlando City Soccer Club (MLS), and will serve as a developmental tier in the franchise's academy system.
UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, We are very excited to welcome OC Academy 23 and Orlando City SC to the UPSL. The management team at Orlando City sees the UPSL's value when it comes to developing domestic and international players, and in Florida it's an opportunity to expand opportunities for players and coaches. We look forward to working with OC Academy 23 and Orlando City Soccer Club to become the USASA National League of choice for amateur players in Florida."
Orlando City SC entered into Major League Soccer in 2015, and was a finalist at the 2020 MLS Is Back tournament in Orlando and an MLS Eastern Conference semifinalist following last year's regular season.
Luca Baglioni is Director of Operations for OC Academy 23. Marcelo Neveleff serves as the Head Coach.
The team plays Deportivo Lake Mary in its UPSL season debut on Wednesday, March 23.

OC Academy 23 is an American Soccer club currently based in Orlando, FL, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. OC Academy 23 will play in the UPSL's Florida Central Division.
OC Academy 23 can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
