September 28, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Livingston Cachorros Soccer Club as a member kicking off with the 2020 Spring Season.

Based in Livingston (Calif.), Cachorros SC will begin UPSL play in the Western Conference Wild West Division I and host its UPSL homes games at the Max Foster Sports Complex (Walnut Street, Livingston, CA 95334) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We're excited to welcome Livingston Cachorros Soccer Club to the UPSL Western Conference. Livingston Cachorros are a storied club with solid ownership that puts soccer talent in the path of opportunity. We expect Livingston Cachorros to add to an already competitive Wild West Division, and we wish the club well as it prepares for the 2020 Spring Season."

Rick Soria is Owner of Livingston Cachorros Soccer Club. Born in Atwater (Calif.), Soria, 57, played for and graduate from Livingston (Calif.) High School, and began Cachorros SC with friends in 1983, spending more than a decade as team's No. 1 goalkeeper.

Livingston Cachorros SC Owner Rick Soria said, "There's a lot of interest in this level of the game because of what the UPSL has done the last few years, and there's a lot of club's in the Central Valley looking to take the next step. We're ready to join the UPSL and build something bigger for Livingston."

Soria currently owns and operates Livingston (Calif.)-based Premiership Futbol League, a recreational adult playing circuit featuring men's and co-ed teams.

The club will host tryouts and announces tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.

Founded in 1983, Livingston Cachrorros SC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 400-plus teams targeted for 2019 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
