September 3, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Jaguars United Football Club as a member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Everett (Mass.), Jaguars United FC will begin UPSL play in the Northeast Conference Empire Division I and host its UPSL homes games at Hormel Stadium (90 Locust St., Medford, MA 02155) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League East Coast Director Jim Antonakas said, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Jaguars United FC to the UPSL Northeast Empire Division for the 2019 Fall Season. Marco Miereles' club has become a force on the futsal circuit, and the skill of his players is going to translate nicely to the UPSL. We wish Marco and Jaguars United FC the best as it readies for the UPSL Fall Season."

Jaguars United FC opens the UPSL's 2019 Fall Season against New Hampshire Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night at Hormel Stadium.

Marco Miereles is President and Chief Operating Officer of Jaguars United FC. Born in Brazil, Miereles is a business owner and has continuously owned and operated Jaguars United FC Youth Academy for more than 10 years.

Jaguars United FC President and COO Marco Miereles said, "We've been competing in futsal this year and having some success there, so most of the players who play for the futsal team will play for the UPSL team. Some cannot play both, but some can play both very well. It gives an opportunity for everyone, from our youngest player at 18 to our 25- and 30-year olds. We like the challenge of what's ahead in the UPSL."

Jaguars United FC took third at the U.S. Futsal Nationals in New Jersey in July, and has more than half of its roster of 40+ players dedicated to the club's UPSL effort.

Jaguars United FC Youth Academy currently features two boys teams competing in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL), and has plans to expand its team offerings for girls and create a youth academy for 8U players in 2020.

Brazilian Marcus Silos serves as Club Administrator for Jaguars United FC.
