August 28, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Universidad de Chile USA as a member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Kendall County (Fla.), Universidad de Chile USA will begin UPSL Division II play in the Florida Conference South Section and will host its home games at Nathanial Traz-Powell Stadium on the campus of Miami Dade College (11380 NW 27th Ave., Miami, FL 33167) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Florida Conference Manager Christian Vallejos said, "It's great to have Universidad de Chile USA in the UPSL Florida South Division II. Owner William Montgomery is committed to the players in his program, and with his organization's connections they are developing and educating players with character and passion. We welcome Universidad de Chile USA to the UPSL."

Universidad de Chile USA is a soccer training academy for boys and girls ages 4-to-18 in the City of Miami that promotes sports values and the tradition of the University of Chile, with its men's elite group now participating in the UPSL.

Universidad de Chile USA Owner and President William Montgomery said, "This is a great opportunity for the young players that we have to experience a strong step up in competition and professionalism. The UPSL is the right step for our club because we are growing and the league is the best for keeping costs local and everything focused on development. We're looking forward to a great season ahead."

The club made its UPSL debut with a 3-1 victory over Florida Brothers in the Florida South Division II season opener on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Universidad de Chile USA is an American Soccer club currently based in Kendall County, Fla., and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Universidad de Chile USA will begin play in the UPSL Florida Conference.

Founded in 2018, Universidad de Chile USA can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
