August 23, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Florida Tropics SC's Victor Parreiras has been named its 2019 Spring Season Most Valuable Player.

Parreiras led Florida Tropics SC all the way to the UPSL 2019 Spring Season National Championship trophy at Kangaroo Stadium in Weatherford, Texas, on Sunday, July 28.

Florida Tropics SC General Manager Andrew Ross said, "We are thrilled to have Victor receive this award, and rightfully so. He game his all and was a leader on the field in every game. Our team would not have own the UPSL National Championship without him. We are blessed to have such a key player on our roster who can not only score goals on his own but set up his teammates to score and play under pressure in every scenario."

Parreireas, a native of Brazil, started in every game of the 2019 Spring Season, scoring 12 goals and adding 10 assists in a tantalizing campaign for Florida Tropics SC.

Florida Tropics SC (18-0-0 overall) claimed the UPSL's Florida Division I during the regular season and was dominant en route to the UPSL 2019 Springs Season National Championship Game.

Led by Parreiras' steady control of midfield, Florida Tropics SC swept its way through the UPSL Florida Division playoffs before defeating World Class Premier Elite to claim the UPSL Southeast Conference crown.

At the UPSL National Finals in Weatherford (Texas), Parreiras had the assist on the game-winning goal in the national semifinal, then scored the game-tying goal in the UPSL National Final before scoring in the shootout as Tropics outlasted Utah Murcielagos, 5-4, to claim the title.

"This means a lot to me. It's an individual award to close out an excellent season that I had. It also gives me motivation to achieve more things in the future. This will be in my memory forever," Parreiras said.
