Aurora Borealis SC Forward Keeps Scoring in 3-1 Victory

July 4, 2018 – Los Angeles – Aurora Borealis SC forward Chris Freeman has been named UPSL National Player of the Week. A native of Monrovia, Libera scored again in a 3-1 victory over Joliet United SC in a UPSL Pro Premier Midwest Conference Central Division game on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Freeman started and played 90 minutes for Aurora Borealis SC (5-3-0 overall), which sits just one point off the top of the UPSL Pro Premier Midwest Conference Central Division with the win.

Freeman, 22, scored in his third consecutive game and now has four goals and two assists this season, his third with Auroral Borealis SC. A graduate of Naperville (Ill.)’s Metea Valley High School, Freeman played one season at nearby College of DuPage, tallying eight goals and 10 assists in 19 games.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL.
