UPSL National Player of the Week: Milwaukee Bavarian SCs Thomas Deslongchamps

Milwaukee Bavarian SC Goalkeeper Had Eight Saves in 4-0 Victory

July 27, 2018 - Los Angeles - Milwaukee Bavarian SC goalkeeper Thomas Deslongchamps has been named UPSL National Player of the Week. A native of Milwaukee (Wisc.), Deslongchamps was unbreachable in a 4-0 victory over Green Bay United FC in a UPSL Pro Premier Midwest Conference North Division game on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Deslongchamps started and made eight saves for Milwaukee Bavarian SC (4-0-0 overall), which sits just one point off the top of the table in UPSL Pro Premier Midwest Conference North Division with three games in hand.

Deslongchamps was a Bavarian SC youth player before joining Chicago-based FC United's U.S. Development Academy Program two years ago. Concurrently a senior at Milwaukee's Whitefish High School, Deslongchamps is committed to University of Notre Dame.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 170 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 200-plus teams targeted for 2018 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
